The public company Simbio provides comprehensive waste management services in the Municipality of Celje. It operates the public waste collection and disposal service in 12 municipalities within the wider Celje region and manages waste processing and treatment at the Regional Waste Management Center in Celje, serving 32 municipalities.

Challenge

Simbio’s goal was to improve the user experience for website visitors while easing the load on support services. The company wanted to provide its customers with quick and easy access to information, which necessitated the introduction of a modern and efficient communication tool—ChatGPT chat.

Solution

We integrated the advanced ChatGPT AI chatbot into Simbio’s website, following a series of key steps. First, we connected the ChatGPT model to Simbio’s web pages, allowing it to learn from the existing local content. Additionally, we linked supplementary documents in the background to provide a more extensive knowledge base for the chatbot.

After the initial integration, we conducted thorough testing to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the chatbot’s responses. This was followed by the official launch of the service on the website. The ChatGPT chatbot now responds exclusively based on content from the website and the additional supported documents, ensuring users receive reliable and accurate information. We also provide support services for monitoring and moderating responses, enabling continuous improvement of the chatbot and adapting it to meet user needs.

Results

The implementation of the ChatGPT chatbot has proven to be extremely successful. Users quickly embraced the new tool and began using it frequently for a variety of inquiries, ranging from general information about the company’s activities to specific queries, such as relocation procedures or ordering waste bags. This effectively alleviated Simbio's support teams, as the chatbot handled a significant number of routine inquiries, allowing the support team to focus on more complex tasks.

In addition to easing the workload of the support staff, the ChatGPT chatbot has also enhanced the user experience. Website visitors can now quickly and easily access the information they need, increasing their satisfaction and loyalty. With ongoing monitoring of conversations and moderating responses, the chatbot continually improves, ensuring it meets user needs more effectively over time.

Through this solution, Simbio achieved its goal—providing a modern, efficient, and user-friendly communication tool that enhances customer service while optimizing the company’s internal processes.
